1. What are some key features of The V Seal?
✓ Sterile
✓ Waterproof
✓ Hypoallergenic (polyacrylate-based)
✓ Nontoxic
✓ Free from latex / phthalates / BPA
✓ Breathable material
✓ Soft, absorbent inner pad for comfort and protection
✓ Transparent adhesive dressing
2. Is The V Seal latex-free?
Yes! The V Seal is 100% latex-free.
3. Will The V Seal irritate my skin?
The V Seal is made with a hypoallergenic, medical-grade adhesive and is safe for even the most sensitive areas of the skin. Most women find The V Seal to be incredibly comfortable during use, and easy to remove thereafter. That said, everyone is different, and there is a chance some individuals may experience irritation. Always consult with a medical professional if you experience any kind of allergic reaction.
4. Is The V Seal comfortable?
Yes! The V Seal feels almost like nothing — it’s ultra-thin (similar to saran wrap) and flexes naturally with your skin. Most women report it is incredibly comfortable during use.
5. Can I use The V Seal while on my period?
Yes! You can use The V Seal while menstruating. It may help reduce chemical and bacterial absorption through a tampon, and it provides added peace of mind when swimming, helping to minimize the chance of menstrual leakage when exiting the water.
6. Do I need to be hairless to use The V Seal?
For best results, little to no hair is recommended. Because The V Seal adheres directly to the skin, more hair can reduce the security of the seal (and cause more pulling on removal). Many women find they can successfully use The V Seal with a trim — though a full, ungroomed bush may interfere with optimal performance.
7. Is The V Seal easy to remove?
Yes. Removing The V Seal is easy and painless (similar to peeling off a Bandaid). Simply pull the pink tab gently and slowly in a downward, outward motion away from the skin, and dispose.
8. How do I apply The V Seal?
1. Clean and dry the area; think ahead and take care of any “business” before you’re sealed
2. Rest one foot on a hip-height surface to really spread those cheeks!
3. Peel off lower paper lining and reach product around your backside with your free hand meeting it between your legs
4. Align the lower inch of the padded portion with your rectum; press into place, molding into your crease
5. Remove remaining paper lining and adhere the rest of the sticker around vaginal area
6. Peel off outer plastic lining by separating from pink tab, and enjoy up to 2 hours of coverage
9. How does The V Seal work?
The V Seal is made with medical-grade adhesive, which prevents bacteria, fluids, viruses, and other potential organisms (like parasites) from entering the vagina. At the same time, microscopic holes in the material allow oxygen to enter, and CO₂ and moisture vapor to escape. This makes for a reliable seal with plenty of breathability.
10. How long should I wear The V Seal?
We recommend enjoying coverage for up to 2 hours, or until you have to 'do your business', in which case you can simply remove and apply a new one after using the toilet. Beyond 2 hours of use can potentially allow bacteria to grow and cause adverse effects. If you'd like to enjoy more than 2 hours of coverage, you can remove the product, thoroughly clean and dry the area, and apply a new one.

14. Is The V Seal a medical product?
